Five new missionaries arrive!!

Ten minutes after we said good-bye to our departing elders, we walked over to the international side of the Vladivostok Airport. Within minutes, our five new missionaries emerged from customs all happy to have "made it" after three flights: SLC to Los Angeles to Seoul to Vladivostok.

From left, Elder VanQuill, Sister Clark, Elder Gardner, Elder Hansen, and Elder Perry.
Quick group photo at the airport.

Our van, soon to replaced for a new one, handled the luggage well!
Elder Johnsen, Elder Niederhauser, Elder Hansen, Elder Gardner, Elder Shepherd and Elder Sayers enjoy some lunch.
The assistants to President Brinton, Elders Niederhauser and Shepherd, share their enthusiasm and advice with the new missionaries.
Trainers sit next to their new junior companions. The job of "trainer" is a vitally-important responsibility. The trainer sets the tone for the new missionary's experience in the mission field. The trainers are seasoned missionaries. From left, Sister Hill (TR) Sister Clark; Elder Perry, Elder Hasebi (TR); Elder Johnsen (TR) Elder VanQuill; Elder Hansen, Elder Luke (TR); Elder Sayers (TR) Elder Gardner.
Sister Clark, from Elk Ridge, Utah, stands with Pres. and Sister Brinton...
Elder VanQuill is from Provo, Utah...
Elder Hansen is from Declo, Idaho...
Elder Perry is from Davenport, Washington.
NOTE: Elder Sayers and Elder Gardner were retrieving luggage from the van when we obtained these photos in front of the map. We will make sure to get a photo of the two of them together ASAP and will post it. In the meantime, Elders Sayers and Gardner can be seen seated just to the right of President Brinton. Elder Gardner is from Phoenix, Arizona. (See photo below)

We are so happy to welcome these wonderful elders and sister to our mission. They seem very ready and eager to share the gospel with the Russian people.
