North Zone Conference

North Zone Conference was held on March 6, 2015. Missionaries from Khabarovsk and Sakhalin gathered. The Sakhalin elders and sisters flew on an early-morning flight to Khabarovsk for the Conference. The North Zone is our smallest zone with just two districts. However, due to the great distances in our mission, it requires one of the districts to fly. The flights coming from Sakhalin work out so that they can fly over and back on the same day. Whereas, if the conference were held in Sakhalin, it would require an overnight stay. Because time is a precious commodity on a mission, we schedule the least amount of time away from a zone.
Elder Meldrum will be finishing his mission before the next Zone Conference. He shared his testimony of the gospel and what his mission has meant to him.
Elder Sayers shared how he loved the "spiritual uplift" of Zone Conference. He said he feels motivation to be the best missionary he can be each day. He, too, participated in his last Zone Conference.
Elder Price shared how important it is to use every minute wisely on the mission as it goes by "all too quickly". He departs in less than two weeks for home after completing a faithful mission.

Khabarovsk is one of our smallest branches, but posted a Sacrament meeting attendance of 30 on Sunday, March 15. (Unfortunately, some members were in another part of the building when the photo was taken.) Elder Lamb is now serving as the Branch President in Khabarovsk.
