On Thursday, December 4, 2014, President Nikolai Bonder passed away from cancer. He was such a wonderful man. We rejoice in the knowledge that he is with a loving Heavenly Father. Another faithful Russian saint has endured to the end.
A funeral service was held on Saturday afternoon. It was attended by many friends, members, and non-members. Speakers included Dima Volkov, Pres. Loshkutov, Brother Malzev and President Brinton who shared with the congregation the plan of salvation, testifying that Pres. Bondar has been taken home to our loving Heavenly Father. Music was a quartet performed by the missionaries, and a piano rendition of "I Believe in Christ" by Sister Brinton. It was a very spiritual and uplifting funeral.
Afterwards, the people enjoyed wonderful home cooking provided by the members of the branch.
