A Merry Christmas celebration!

On Christmas Day, our missionaries in each branch gathered for an extended District Meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner and watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. We asked each of the Zones to email pictures of their Christmas celebration. We haven't yet received pictures from Irkutsk nor Sakhalin. When we do, we will post them immediately! NOTE: As we travel throughout the mission, we will attempt to take a picture of EVERY missionary. They are all doing wonderful things.
Elder and Sister Hughes hosted the elders and sisters in Ulan-Ude.
Elder and Sister Price who will complete their mission on Feb. 28, hosted the Nakhodka missionaries.
The Khabarovsk missionaries don't have a senior couple, but had a fun and inspiring time together.
In Ussuriysk, the missionaries were hosted by the senior couple...
... Elder and Sister Bryson.
The Vladivostok missionaries were hosted at the Mission Home by President and Sister Brinton.
The First Presidency Devotional was inspiring and made Christmas very special.
One of Sister Brinton's hobbies back in the United States is interior design. She loves to decorate for special occasions.
Stephanie and Lindsey Parker (Pres. and Sister Brinton's middle daughter and son-in-law) are spending  the Christmas holidays in Vladivostok.
Elder Collinsworth, Zone Leader for the Vlad Zone conducted District meeting.
The greatest gift a person can receive is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here President Brinton is street-contacting on Christmas Day with Elder Malmsten and Elder Collinsworth.
Likewise, Sister Brinton, Sister Gates and Sister Farnsworth stop a passerby to share the message of the Restoration.
This massive statue is right on the edge of Vladivostok Bay. A giant Christmas tree adds to the splendor of the scene. The brand new Vladivostok Bridge (one of three built for the APEC Summit in September) is in back on the right.

At this time of year, we are deeply grateful for the privilege it is to serve in the Russia Vladivostok mission. We have missionaries who are the "cream of the crop". We love them all and are inspired by them. We pray that the Lord's choicest blessings will be upon all of you at this special time and throughout the coming year. We testify to the divinity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He LIVES! This is His church. What an exciting time to be in Russia. We love the Russian people. We love this beautiful country. We are confident that great things are about to happen here as the message of the gospel changes lives, one by one.

We send our love and warmest greetings!
President and Sister Brinton
